Terms of Service
Effective Date: This Terms of Service agreement governs your use of Voice of Afrikka Media, Language School, Culture Hub, and Mediation Center's services, including our language classes, media content, culture hub programs, and mediation services. By registering for or using our services, you agree to these terms.
- Account Registration and Eligibility
Adult Students must be 18 years of age or older. Minor Students (under 18) must be enrolled by a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for the account and agrees to these Terms on the minor's behalf. Account holders are responsible for maintaining the security of their login credentials.
2. Fees, Billing, and Subscriptions
Tuition and fees are due on the 1st of each month. We will provide at least 30 days' notice before any price changes take effect. All fees are billed in USD.
3. Cancellation and Refund Policy
You may cancel your enrollment at any time through your student dashboard. We do not offer refunds for months already paid for, and we do not offer refunds or make-up sessions for missed classes, as our language classes are recurring group sessions.
4. Code of Conduct and Online Safety
We expect respectful behavior from all students and families at all times. Parental supervision is encouraged for younger students to ensure their online safety during classes. We reserve the right to terminate accounts for conduct that violates this policy, without refund.
5. Technical Requirements
Students are responsible for their own equipment and internet connection needed to attend classes. We are not responsible for technical failures on the student's side that affect participation.
6. Intellectual Property Rights
All course materials, curricula, and content belong to Voice of Afrikka. Students receive a limited personal license to use these materials for their own learning and may not copy, redistribute, or share them without permission.
7. Privacy Policy
We collect information necessary to provide our services. In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent, and parents or guardians create and manage accounts for students under 13. We do not sell your information. We take reasonable measures to secure your data, and you may contact us with questions about your information or to exercise your privacy rights.
8. Class Recording
Classes may be recorded for quality assurance, training, and review purposes. Participation in a class constitutes consent to recording, including on behalf of Minor Students by their parent or guardian.
9. Limitation of Liability
Our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the specific course in question.
10. Modifications to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page along with a revised effective date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
